july programs

We are hosting two programs in July 2021: STEM for Fun for grades 3-4 and STEM for Fun for 5-6.

 

Each workshop consists of lessons and hands-on activities (i.e. science experiments) for students to participate in. As a result, students are required to provide their own materials that will be used during the workshops.

 

Below is more information about each program. You may find the required materials for each workshop below as well.

STEM for Fun
Grades 3-4
Saturdays, 11-12 PM PST/1-2 PM CST/2-3 PM EST
The DEADLINE to register for the July Workshops is July 1st, 2021. Expect to hear a reply from us confirming that your student has registered within a week of submission.

1. Space Exploration

July 3rd

Materials: baking soda, toilet paper, plastic bottle, cork, vinegar, popsicle sticks, sturdy paper, duct tape, beads, pipe cleaners, stickers

2. States of Matter

July 10th

Materials: orange juice, soda, baking soda, glasses, spoon, milk, vinegar, bowl, spoon, strainer, paper towel

3. Physiology of Muscles

July 17th

Materials: scotch tape, scissors, cardstock, straws, boba straw, string, black marker, paperclip, balloons

Materials: tissue paper, balloon, cardboard, gluestick, scissors, pencil, construction paper, googly eyes, soda can
